Espace Vego space: Reviews & Ratings
The breakfast burrito is the best I have ever had, even in comparison with non-vegan burritos. The vegan egg is tender and the vegan cheese/peppers/spinach is luxuriously rich. Tastes like piquillo peppers, but not sure. Not spicy at all. I also had a croissant, which was gorgeous but a little dry by the time I ate it an hour after I bought it. I also got a BBQ sandwich which was also delicious. It is made of seasoned tofu on a ciabatta bun. Texture was just right, tofu was not mushy and not overly firm either. I also had a mocha-type coffee which was ok, but too mild. It tasted like they use tap water because the coffee flavor was so subdued. But overall, a great experience. They offer cow milk as a choice with coffee. Otherwise this is 100% vegan.
Good wholesome vegan food at reasonable prices served by cheery staff. The most amazing part is the seating area with a mix of picnic-ers (there’s a microwave also in a corner) and patrons who are all clearly having a good time.
Unexpectedly great lunch option located inside the planterium and biodome without exterior access required. Food options are vegetarian, and all our party found things to eat : Spaghetti vege balls Rice and vege croquettes Soup Vege Shepards pie Decently priced. Meal options with desserts. Tap water and fountains available. A good deal!
Our family of 3 loved this place, we found something for everyone. Beer and falafel for dad, a veggie wrap and matcha tea for mom, and chocolate cake and a spring roll with delicious mango sauce for our 7 year old. We also shared a nice curried macaroni salad. Plenty of variety to choose from and with allergens marked for every item. We wish all museums back home (in the US) had cafeterias this nice!
Super cute cafe/snack spot with good drinks and options. The drinks were tasty (matcha latte and chai latte). They have non-dairy milk options and a ton of drink and snack options. However, they had an Anglophone take the order of the french group in front of us, and a francophone take our English order (both struggling for both) so there could be better delegation of taking orders.

Located inside Montreal’s Planétarium and Biodome at 4801 Pierre-de Coubertin Ave, Espace Vego space offers a fresh take on wholesome, 100% vegan dining that appeals to both plant-based eaters and curious food lovers alike. This cozy café stands out with its diverse menu featuring carefully crafted dishes that showcase vibrant flavors and satisfying textures, all served in an inviting atmosphere that encourages guests to relax and enjoy their meal.
One of the undeniable highlights is the famed breakfast burrito, praised by patrons like Amber NoDak, who raves about its tender vegan egg, luxuriously rich vegan cheese, peppers, and spinach combination. The flavors here strike a perfect balance of heartiness and subtlety, with just the right hint reminiscent of piquillo peppers but without any overwhelming spice. This burrito transcends expectations, competing confidently with non-vegan counterparts.
Another standout is the BBQ sandwich featuring seasoned tofu on a rustic ciabatta bun. It’s a masterclass in texture—neither mushy nor firm—paired with flavors that satisfy without overpowering. For those craving a touch of sweet or savory, the croissant and vegetable croquettes offer enjoyable, well-priced options that complement the main dishes.
The menu expands beyond just meals to include thoughtfully prepared sides and desserts such as chocolate cake with mango sauce and a curried macaroni salad that bring a welcome variety for all palates and ages. Drinks like matcha and chai lattes available with non-dairy milk options enhance the experience, though some customers note that coffee intensity could benefit from stronger blends.
Service here is friendly and lively, contributing to the café’s warm vibe. The seating area encourages a communal spirit with patrons sharing space comfortably, some even enjoying self-served microwaving—a practical touch that adds to the café’s accessible charm. Clear allergen markings on the menu emphasize attentiveness to dietary needs, enhancing the overall reassurance for visitors.
